I feel that my blogging comes in waves. Sometimes there are wonderful or exciting or just random things going on in my life that I feel like I need to share. But then that raises the question of who exactly I'm sharing these things with. When I was Kenya, this blog was a place to update family and friends on my life. However, at this moment, I'm not exactly sure what the point of this blog is.... does it give me some sort of importance and semblance of control as I cling to Christ (as opposed to my predilection to worry) in the face of the unknown which is rapidly approaching? Or is it just that I've always been prone to keeping a journal and this provides a place to do it? I honestly don't know.
For now, I'll keep putting pictures up and updating when I can. My 365 days of pictures are already going to be less than those 365 pictures... and I refuse to feel like a failure simply because I can't blog. :-)
This was taken on Saturday at the Tasting Room, an excellent restaurant near River Oaks in Houston. A friend was playing live music there this weekend, and his wife, another friend and I met there to enjoy wine, cheese, and truffle pizza. (if you ever go, you MUST try the truffle pizza. I'm drooling thinking about it). It was a wonderful night of catching up with friends.

I think you should blog when you are moved to blog and leave it when you don't feel like blogging. Don't feel guilty or obligated to do it. I have enjoyed reading your blog. I know your parents and I've briefly met you a couple of times. I think you have a great ability to put your experiences in writing.
I wanted to let you know that I was following your blog when you were in Africa and I've kept up with it since. But also I was browsing through some of the other blogs on your list and discovered the one titled, "One breath at a time." I've passed that one on to some others who are widows. So you are indirectly impacting people you will never know.
I will continue to pray for your professional and personal growth. I can't imagine completing the studies you have done (and running marathons during that time too!) God's blessings! I know you are striving to serve as God leads and I think you are doing a great job. Say hi to your parents too! You have a great Mom and Dad and I know they are very proud of you!
