WWW (along with some odds and ends)

Weight
Well... let me tell you... this was not a post I wanted to write. At weight watchers this past Saturday I was up another 0.6lb. :-( Still not a ton, but up. If I look back on that week, I can see where I went wrong. One of my leaders once said, "If you kinda do it, it kinda works. But if you really do it, it really works." I have been kinda doing the plan for the past couple of weeks. And it hasn't even been kinda working. But this week, since weighing in on Saturday, I have been meticulously tracking. And based on my weight in the morning on the bathroom scale, I'm very excited to see what my weight is on Saturday morning.

Workout
One episode of surfing (please see previous post for details), several toning sessions, two runs. The goal for this week is 5 runs. (counting today, I'm at one. 4 more left to go)

Because my post yesterday was so bleak, I thought I should extend today's post to share an amazing story with you.
Do you remember the super complicated patient form the post yesterday (DM, HTN, hyperlipidemia, and every other condition known to man)? Well he also happens to also be a very nice guy who loves to laugh. Today, he came back to the clinic, and waited for me to be free so that I could run down stairs. He gave me a huge hug and thanked me for taking such good care of him. (and told me I was his favorite Haole!) Additionally, he also brought along a box of doughnuts. I of course had to take a picture because after the way I've felt the past couple of days, this was some amazing affirmation. And in pursuit of my weight goal, the only thing I took from the box of delicious looking doughnuts was a picture!


As another fun side note, these are the chocolate muffins I baked yesterday. So tasty and only 4 points!! Celebration in cupcake form!
