When dating someone in the Navy, there are several things I have learned in regards to making life plans:
1. Make Plans
2. Realize that all plans that you've made are tentative up until the moment when those plans are executed.
3. When said plans change, make other plans to keep yourself busy.
4. When creating other plans, realize that hiking by yourself when you're a clutz like me, might not be the best of plans... for fear that you'll either fall off the mountain or fall and break a leg.
That all being said, A was going to be gone on Saturday, then he was going to be here and we were going to take some midshipmen snorkeling and hiking, then, in the end, he had duty. So I was left to my own devices. In efforts to get myself out of the house and not sit on my duff and mope, I took on a challenge, which in retrospect, was probably kinda silly and unsafe, to take on by myself.
I hiked the Aiea Loop Trail. A 4.8 mile long SUPER SUPER muddy trail that runs along some of the ridge tops at the end of Aiea Heights Drive. (when they told me how muddy it was, I totally underestimated it). The good news - I only fell once and didn't break anything in that fall (and I had cell service that entire time). And it was a really neat hike.
A few pics from my trek....

Amazingly, this pic does not do the amount of mud on my legs justice. The backs of my legs where pretty bad. And my shorts were covered in mud from where I fell.
BUT
It was a really cool hike.
And from here on out, I won't be hiking alone. :-)

I praise you for your dedication to exercise. Me, I just stayed at home and watched a movie. But, then, I was not in beautiful Hawaii where the temperature was not 100 degrees.
very fun!! :)
