WOW. Three decades almost completed. I know that about two years ago I made my first list of 28 things that I wanted to do before I turned 28. That wasn't very successful. Well it was - but I did not get nearly enough of them crossed off the list. Thus, because I'm a planner who loves lists and goals, and I find myself yet again getting ready to move across an ocean to an unknown - I've made another list. This time of 30 things that I want to do before I turn 30. I've been working on this list for several weeks now, so hopefully the goals are attainable in the 382 days before I turn 30!<br />
<br />
1. Use 1 book of stamps per month to write letters to family and friends.<br />
2. Read through the Bible<br />
3. Work through couples Bible devotionals with Andrew<br />
4. Find a church in Connecticut. Get involved.<br />
5. Reach goal weight - earn lifetime membership in weight watchers.<br />
6. Run the NYC half marathon in less than 2:30<br />
7. Run the NYC marathon in less than 5:30 (can substitute with a different marathon)<br />
8. Do another Olympic triathlon - and excel at the bike portion (my least favorite part)<br />
9. Cook 1 new recipe per week - can be a recipe from friend, but will need to be a new recipe for me<br />
10. Honestly take a stab at blogging - write at least 15 blogs per month in hopes of improving my writing skills<br />
11. Sew something on my sewing machine - and take a sewing class<br />
12. Call my grandmothers at least 2 times a month to talk and learn their stories<br />
13. Do the FlyLady cleaning system 5 days per week<br />
14. Read 30 books<br />
15. Donate my hair<br />
16. Sponsor a child through Compassion or World Vision<br />
17. Take dance lessons with Andrew<br />
18. Weekly Pinsperation challenge (make or do something off of a Pinterest board once a week)<br />
19. Complete a 365 photo project (possibly with Project Life)<br />
20. Find an organization I believe in and volunteer<br />
21. Complete 30 Random Acts of Kindness<br />
22. Get a stamp in my new passport (complete with my new last name)<br />
23. Take a trapeze class<br />
24. Get a dog<br />
25. Take a cooking class<br />
26. Throw a "Favorite Things Party" - like Oprah's favorite things, but Anna's<br />
27. Host people at our house (for dinner or drinks or games or a book club) at least 6 times.<br />
28. Learn to french braid my hair.<br />
29. Take Andrew on a date once a month<br />
30. Plan a wonderful Marriage Blessing & Celebration for us in Kingwood. (complete with DIY touches!)Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02482956847105051138noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-899603359868318360.post-49432551562231747222012-06-04T23:40:00.002-07:002012-06-04T23:40:56.818-07:00Things That I FearThings that I fear... Thinking about this brings to mind Psalm 27:1<br />
"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?"<br />
Oh how I wish this was true in my life. I see sin in the world in my fears. If I see through the eyes of faith in Psalm 27, my fears dissolve.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately... I do have some fears<br />
- Not being able to have kids someday<br />
- Disappointing the people that I love<br />
- Cockroaches (I guess maybe it's more of a hate vs. a fear)<br />
- Bats (discovered this as I was walking into a cave in Kenya)<br />

What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.</span></span><br />
<br />

I believe, is to first just love people and gain that trust with people where they know that I really do love them and care about their well-being, so that when they are running into problems, they will hopefully, at some point, come to me and ask me, 'What is your peace all about? What is your comfort all about? Where do you get your love? Where do you get your talents?' And I can turn to them and say without blinking, 'Jesus Christ' </span></span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: right;">

They went out and happened to things.</span></span><br />

For the first time in as long as I can remember, I do not have music in my life, which breaks my heart a little. When I say that I do not have music in my life, I mean that I am playing the piano or in a band. I miss playing piano more than I can say. Sometimes, I will look at Craigslist and see all of the used pianos that people are just giving away and I dream about owning one.<br />
2. For the longest time, I thought that when I get a dog someday I would get a Golden Retriever. They have been my love ever since we got our sweet Buddy. However, at my church there is a chocolate lab puppy that the pastor's family is training for the Wounded Warrior program. The eyes on that dog have me considering a chocolate lab.<br />
3. Tomorrow, I start a training clinic for the Tinman Triathlon. I am simultaneously excited and so very nervous. I think that the people in my training group are going to take one look at me and say, "Who let the novice in this group?"<br />
4. When I was in college we did a Meyers Briggs personality profile. I so desperately wanted to be an extrovert that I chose the answers that I thought would make me an "E" on the profile type. Even with doing that, I was a 50/50 split, making me an introvert. Now that I am older and wiser, I know that the only way I can recharge is alone or in small groups.<br />
5. Recently, I have been having very vivid dreams... most of them involving submarines.<br />
6. The thing I dislike the most about living in Hawaii is the distance that it is from the mainland and my family.<br />
7. That being said, living in Hawaii has been a complete adventure, and I realize that I am being spoiled rotten with beautiful blue beaches and velvet green mountains.<br />
8. Furthermore, being so far away from family grew my relationship with A in wonderful ways. No we are not engaged or married... but we are learning what it means to rely on each other fully.<br />
9. I could not be more proud of A as he serves our country. He sacrifices so much which I take for granted - day light, personal space, fresh air, free time, being with friends and family to protect our country and liberty throughout the world. He amazes me. (and he's ridiculously smart)<br />
10. Yes, I am completely biased... but my family is amazing. God blessed me beyond measure when he gave me my family.<br />
11. God used the love of my family to teach me about the beauty of living in community. In the last 6 years I have lived in Houston, Connecticut, Kenya, and Honolulu. In each place I have been given communities of wonderful friends, who become family.<br />
12. One of the best parts of being a grown up is drinking wine. Especially red wines, from South America.<br />
13. God shows me over and over again that his plans are bigger than mine.<br />
14. I hate that I constantly struggle with my weight.<br />
15. After the Honolulu marathon, I lost my big toe nail. That was over 5 months ago. My toe nail still doesn't look normal.<br />
16. I desperately want to have a clean, organized house. Alas, I have yet to even remotely accomplish that goal<br />
17. Have you see the picture of otters holding hands? I think it's precious.<br />
18. Although I am 28 years old, I still sleep with a teddy bear. It's a Navy Bear that A gave me a couple of months after we started dating.<br />
19. Every night I tell myself that I'm going to bed early... every night I end up stay up late.<br />
20. I am an unabashed Apple fan. <br />

Primarily, I wondered if it was ego centric for me to write. Blogs are by their very nature, an online public diary. I also wondered how much about my life I wanted posted on the blog (I saw that someone had found my blog by searching for my name and my job title... and to be completely honest, I don't really want my patients' to know this much about my life. Thus, I pulled down just about everything with my name. Although, if you still search for me by name and job title, you will get a hit for the blog)<br />
<br />
Recently (aka yesterday) I decided to maintain this blog, to challenge myself as a writer. I will never have the graceful poise of my sister in law, but I would like to be able to find the words to adequately describe a time or place or emotion without it sounding like a stumbling mess with too many ellipses. <br />
<br />
To begin my adventure into writing, I will take on this 31 day blog challenge. <br />

Without further to do, I bring you Day 1.<br />
<br />
These two photos are a little over a month old. Yes, I have some more recent photos, but these two make me the happiest. They were taken in Japan, Yokosuka and Tokyo respectively. The first was taken after the USS Columbus pulled into Yokosuka Naval Base for a port call on their Western Pacific Deployment.<br />

It's been 1 year.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 year since I started working as a physician assistant.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Feeling completely terrified.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The change came without me noticing it...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But now when I walk into the patient's room, I am confident and generally speaking have an answer (or know where to look or who to ask for that answer).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's been a year with ups and downs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Too many cold and ear infections to count.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(and truthfully, a little too much chronic pain - my comment the other day was, "give me hypertension, diabetes, or a nice strep throat. Anything but pain."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When I was in school, they told us that the first year would be the hardest. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I certainly hope that is true.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIIEedozahBR0Imr003tZ_GJ4zgC1JJVKndE-mISZQvuRykI2p2jHCQqB6NNy06YNzTNZOZxPGozWMz_o91O7BlVZ9AhrSV3imUYwdRnUZNqW_gZVSSNs4ZoZb9u_-H1KhyphenhyphenLGqyExE1yI/s1600/IMG_4082.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIIEedozahBR0Imr003tZ_GJ4zgC1JJVKndE-mISZQvuRykI2p2jHCQqB6NNy06YNzTNZOZxPGozWMz_o91O7BlVZ9AhrSV3imUYwdRnUZNqW_gZVSSNs4ZoZb9u_-H1KhyphenhyphenLGqyExE1yI/s320/IMG_4082.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's also been a year filled with commuting... I spend at least an hour and a half in the car every day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Needless to say, I look for ways to pass the time. In the mornings I try to call people on the mainland (typically my parents). But the other times are filled with books on tape. Over the year, I've listened to the entire Harry Potter series, Pride and Prejudice, and the Lord of the Rings Series. I started with Harry Potter, and when the series ended, I felt like I was loosing a friend who had journeyed with me to work everyday. If anyone had recommendations as to what to tackle next, they'd be greatly appreciated.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yesterday was also the 112th Birthday of the Submarine Force in the US Navy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thought I'd take a minute to say happy birthday to the submarine force, and mention how proud I am of the men that protect us.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

In my usual style, I decided that manageability would come more easily if I made a list of goals. Truth be told, I've been making these goals for quite a while. I'd think of something that I want to do and I'd look at Andrew and say, "I'm going to put that on my deployment goal list." Eventually, Andrew looked at me and said, "Anna, you do realized that this is only one deployment, right?" I've cut somethings off of the list, but as it stands, these are my deployment goals:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Spiritual</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Pray through the Psalms (and I think once the Psalms are over, I'm going to be working on the Pauline epistles)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Restart and FINISH Beth Moore's "Believing God" Bible study. I started this one over a year ago with some close friends, but never finished it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Work</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Get into the habit of finishing all my charts before I leave work.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Read for work or CME at least 1 hour per week.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Physical</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Lose 38 pounds by the time the Columbus returns to port</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Run a 5K in < 30 minutes (this kinda goes along with it - but I really want to be a runner - I don't know how that involves this - but you get the picture)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Complete the Whole 30 paleo program once</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hawaii</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Learn how to stand up paddle</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Hike crouching Lion</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Go surfing again - learn how to catch a wave on my own</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Crafts</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Finish cross stitching 2 bibs</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Make Christmas stockings for myself and Andrew</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Learn how to make something on my sewing machine - I'm thinking an apron - definitely something without a zipper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Knowledge </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Finish the "Coffee Break Espanol" podcast series to help brush up my spanish</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Read 6 classic novels </div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02482956847105051138noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-899603359868318360.post-39869155999251416672012-02-25T18:34:00.002-08:002012-02-26T13:12:13.423-08:00Aloha Love<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
When I moved to Hawaii at the end of March, I began to attend Good Shepherd Church with my cousins Karl & Ashley.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This past Sunday, I had the honor of joining the Good Shepherd ohana.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In Hawiian, ohana means family. There's a Disney movie called Lilo and Stitch with the line, "Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind." I have found that to be true at Good Shepherd. They are all so welcoming and open. It has blessed me more than I can say to grow closer to Christ in this community. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The part of joining the church that made me feel the most welcome immediately followed the new member welcome. The members of the church came to the front and welcomed us to the family with leis. It blessed my heart more than I can say.</div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02482956847105051138noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-899603359868318360.post-78373857030754482312011-11-03T00:20:00.000-07:002011-11-03T00:20:05.201-07:0028 before 28: Snorkel Hanauma Bay<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the east coast of Oahu, Hanauma Bay glistens like a jewel. The coral sits so close to the surface, and the beautiful fish are easily viewed while snorkeling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While my friend Kelsey was in town, we headed over there and spent a morning in the water, snorkeling back and forth, looking at the fish and the coral.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The bay is so close to Waikiki that many people go snorkeling there while visiting Oahu (with good reason). It's a beautiful place to snorkel. And the surrounding scenery is lovely. </div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Diamond Head Crater sits on the coast of Oahu, providing a distinctive texture to the horizon. The geologists tell us that it was created as a steam vent following the collapse of the volcanic crater on the eastern edge of the island.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgViSgBrjpY-QY2SuQt8A5k9UoHlRQ5aKJeBjC5nd8M9j1NvbTEQ1cgyyaaFt-Vk_GrwAMRSdPc8zskXZtrk4Jax5qkM9hCT_6ne1jFEF4fbLaqIi3o2JK-xB5G9uxRprDYbUGwvIxaNpk/s640/IMG_4414.JPG" width="640" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The US Army built a fort in and around the crater, including an observation station on the upper most rim of the crater. The hike up Diamond Head is a hike to the observation stations. And the view is amazing. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the view looking out towards Koko Head and Hanauma Bay to the East.</div>

I must admit, I have been in blatant blog neglect. Life has been moving at an alarming speed, leading to lack of blogging. Hopefully this will be my return! By 4:30 am, I was driving down the H1 towards H1 for the Norman Tamanaha 15K. Thanks to the perpetually warm temps here in Hawaii, races have rediculously early start times. Example - today was one of the later start times... at 6am. Most of my other training sessions and warm up series races start at 5:30 am... or 5am.... EEKS!!!! Needless to say, I'm honestly considering getting a hotel room the night before the 5am marathon start.</p>

My goal today was simply to get the run in, ideally in under 2 hours, to finish feeling strong, and to be able to hit my running workouts hard again on Tuesday. I think I've accomplished all those things! Can't say for sure about the Tuesday run, but based on how my legs feel right now, I think Tuesday will be a go.</p>

<br /><p align="center">The overall five-year survival rate for children under 15 years old with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) was 3% in 1964 - today it's 90.5%! The five-year survival rate for leukemia has quadrupled in the past 50 years, from 14% to 56.5%. Statistics have shown a significant imrpovement in the five-year survival rates of patients with myeloma during this same time frame - from 12% to 41.1%.</p>

These diseases are related cancers in the sense that they probably all results from aquired mutations to the DNA of a single lymph or blood forming stem cell. The mutated stem cell produces clones, which generate high numbers of abnormal cells (such as neutrophils, momcytes and lyphocytes). The abnormal cells mutliply and survive without the usual controls that are in place for healthy cells. The accumulation of these cells in the marrow, blood and/or lymphatic tissue interferes with production and functioning of red cells, white cells and platelets. Ultimately, the disease process can lead to severe anemia, bleeding, an impaired ability to fight infection, or death.</span></p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size:100%;">

While I haven't gotten into the whole coupon-ing craze, I check out a coupon-ing / deal / freebie website about once a day now called <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.hip2save.com">Hip2Save</a>. And I have to say, many good things have come out if it! This week, I received coupons in the mail for a free full sized Pantene product and a free 6 pack of Jiff To-Go, and a box of free K-Cups.<br /><br />With the deals, the site compiles different sales from around the web, and puts them all in the centralized web site. Most of the time, along with the deals, they'll have a coupon that you can use along with the coupon to lower the costs.<br /><br />For example, Burt's Bees had a summer grab bag event. For $25, you get the grab bag filled with all kinds of goodies. And Hip2Save offered a $5 off coupon code. Thus, I paid $20 for the grab bag and received the goodies in the picture below - Full sized sunscreen, full sized hand soap, full sized after sun lotion, full sized lotion, regular Burt's Bees chap stick, lip gloss, 3 mini hard soaps, tooth paste, eye cream, a pumice stone, a wash cloth, a scrub brush and the handy bag!<br /><div style="text-align: left;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKnob6IqEHPXWGdyzjQOFV7jE1wUiqENKHUrZIVIGButC_MNt7wAf-J5ztAu-AJw1Bim1kXr8YnBnLbAt1HFuqZYVGIa0w24D0lsUvqHody0ebpdguNSL7OmKIzgyrQy4q8lbhRS6s-U4/s1600/IMG_1444.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKnob6IqEHPXWGdyzjQOFV7jE1wUiqENKHUrZIVIGButC_MNt7wAf-J5ztAu-AJw1Bim1kXr8YnBnLbAt1HFuqZYVGIa0w24D0lsUvqHody0ebpdguNSL7OmKIzgyrQy4q8lbhRS6s-U4/s400/IMG_1444.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5635427935969897826" border="0" /></a><br />Until today, I thought that the Burt's Bees deal was pretty amazing. Then the Bath and Body Works deal came along. It's a combination of several different factors:<br />1. Free Amour lotion coupon (it's the little lotion by the register, but hey, it's still free)<br />2. $10 off a purchase $30 coupon<br />3. The Bath and Body Works VIP Bag - kinda like the Burt's Bee's summer grab bag - but with a purchase of at least $30 you can get the grab bag for $20<br /><br />All of this culminated in the perfect shopping storm (and a good chunk of Christmas shopping being accomplished!). You can see the majority of my loot below:<br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCyIWQMq49RwwuXZ_VPfs7JOTeG4RjcPy-e-dT9hI9pzKHxpjlYr9daseon3tjwrmU3qozdtct5Cyrc0vr1BtpUXbfyJhKcUwTmLSrJNNnjzAER2hwoOrG1mApp-dl09j0x_LJsffBY14/s1600/IMG_1445.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCyIWQMq49RwwuXZ_VPfs7JOTeG4RjcPy-e-dT9hI9pzKHxpjlYr9daseon3tjwrmU3qozdtct5Cyrc0vr1BtpUXbfyJhKcUwTmLSrJNNnjzAER2hwoOrG1mApp-dl09j0x_LJsffBY14/s400/IMG_1445.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5635428396236156066" border="0" /></a><br />7 Hand Soaps (on sale 7 for $20) - a couple of the soaps got cut out of the pic<br />6 candles (on sale 3 for $5)<br />3 travel sized products (on sale 3 for $10)<br />1 Amour lotion (FREE! with coupon)<br />1 VIP Grab Bag ($20 - includes full sized lotion, full sized body wash, full sized body mist, fill sized soap, car air freshner with lady bug holder, candle, lip gloss, small hand lotion, hand sanitizer with holder, bath poof - all in a nice bag!)<br />All of that swag was $50... and I have successfully Christmas shopped for at least 10 people at Bath and Body Works! Andrew and i have been wanting to tackle the Mt. Olympus hike since I was out here this past fall for rotation. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Unfortunately</span>, life <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">intervened</span> (broken legs tend to prevent epic hikes). Thus, 9 months later we took on this trek. On paper (and the web where it's listed as a beginner/intermediate hike), it seemed quite doable. We didn't know that K&A affectionately refer to this hike as "The Hike of Death" until afterwards. The hike was hike + bear crawl + mountain climb + sheer incline + rappelling with a line attached to a shrub all on a foundation of slick clay (which made everything more exciting in a rain storm). That all being said, it was an awesome hike. The view was phenomenal. (and quite frankly it's really cool to say that we've done it.) As to whether or not we will do it again during our time in Hawaii... well that has yet to be seen. Make Plans</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2. Realize that all plans that you've made are tentative up until the moment when those plans are executed.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">3. When said plans change, make other plans to keep yourself busy.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">4. When creating other plans, realize that hiking by yourself when you're a clutz like me, might not be the best of plans... for fear that you'll either fall off the mountain or fall and break a leg.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">That all being said, A was going to be gone on Saturday, then he was going to be here and we were going to take some midshipmen snorkeling and hiking, then, in the end, he had duty. So I was left to my own devices. In efforts to get myself out of the house and not sit on my duff and mope, I took on a challenge, which in retrospect, was probably kinda silly and unsafe, to take on by myself.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I hiked the Aiea Loop Trail. A 4.8 mile long SUPER SUPER muddy trail that runs along some of the ridge tops at the end of Aiea Heights Drive. (when they told me how muddy it was, I totally underestimated it). The good news - I only fell once and didn't break anything in that fall (and I had cell service that entire time). And it was a really neat hike. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">A few pics from my trek....</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ppjyhjNZJfGPoiPBxGuH4tiD3GsDYa9bbty6oyXUPtEO-1r25S1V5frvRe3p7Gounrm8V5uScvRTMJ-WoIcyi3dgY9VI3VRVDljCztnI8yi3jE44LlX3rXJipnIFlqyvzO_KnfbDz-w/s1600/IMG_4240.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="text-align: justify;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ppjyhjNZJfGPoiPBxGuH4tiD3GsDYa9bbty6oyXUPtEO-1r25S1V5frvRe3p7Gounrm8V5uScvRTMJ-WoIcyi3dgY9VI3VRVDljCztnI8yi3jE44LlX3rXJipnIFlqyvzO_KnfbDz-w/s400/IMG_4240.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625337221480371586" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7VvLqtLzWYOxa6efO0yoExusCSXOo9CXrHhgpdouCxLJotalQfDuVZWC5U0xaIxdpnU1rNUSKOzDB2Os7aUXkO28FOsVo-C07Mcco9q5D6zrQADCvtbkO1npEZz396nIyMSFUpzDRqjE/s1600/IMG_4244.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7VvLqtLzWYOxa6efO0yoExusCSXOo9CXrHhgpdouCxLJotalQfDuVZWC5U0xaIxdpnU1rNUSKOzDB2Os7aUXkO28FOsVo-C07Mcco9q5D6zrQADCvtbkO1npEZz396nIyMSFUpzDRqjE/s400/IMG_4244.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625313677134397250" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTEZOU0Ae43Ff5VIgvpcz2yv_rsU6ozZh8LwhpHVGNsXtxg7nqapZFTuYahGUiDIuIW8wiS4vjLPlsGGRIncOqmwv5exXNLY3w7XMAdMltOQDmFV9LdbhMYS6M4DJNlzXKzN4aaaMhiU8/s1600/IMG_4260.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTEZOU0Ae43Ff5VIgvpcz2yv_rsU6ozZh8LwhpHVGNsXtxg7nqapZFTuYahGUiDIuIW8wiS4vjLPlsGGRIncOqmwv5exXNLY3w7XMAdMltOQDmFV9LdbhMYS6M4DJNlzXKzN4aaaMhiU8/s400/IMG_4260.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625313675537539522" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">H3 running through the valley below</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgISGOTAJsJ0xN6Jfu78PtkInpUdPx4RulFYp5D1V10HdSR4M1pWT_3VQOqUX9eooPt9PEiIrIDnsXCLfangbtXp6-sQu2RoPKwM28crwphiTPp7o1pBe-FvLPuaEEiC9uFdcoNnV1_SQ8/s1600/IMG_4262.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgISGOTAJsJ0xN6Jfu78PtkInpUdPx4RulFYp5D1V10HdSR4M1pWT_3VQOqUX9eooPt9PEiIrIDnsXCLfangbtXp6-sQu2RoPKwM28crwphiTPp7o1pBe-FvLPuaEEiC9uFdcoNnV1_SQ8/s400/IMG_4262.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625313667887963026" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhulSQQ6hNiw0TnCvWbf45PKIvhdkDhpkxJWIdF13GsMlzhvtY0FjKBifMbXKA95JEUgZNPFCXWadokQQkosGVL993ftaHZN_yIDB_U_1H-IKUa8MpKlcmTvP-dN8J7ojY8aRYvRvatpUs/s1600/IMG_4270.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhulSQQ6hNiw0TnCvWbf45PKIvhdkDhpkxJWIdF13GsMlzhvtY0FjKBifMbXKA95JEUgZNPFCXWadokQQkosGVL993ftaHZN_yIDB_U_1H-IKUa8MpKlcmTvP-dN8J7ojY8aRYvRvatpUs/s400/IMG_4270.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625313666127727298" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Looking down at Pearl Harbor sub base. </div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpeQR2G1eIjf_7zCX0O1KjeXpIcqbm79IP8-9uBmtG78lyNOFYzIFeR9w5BOkNbOxiY9jx0Ms9ceewG9ndxUDnC4pEPKVOS-blpLEL1icb8bcsB_Z5uYYYhbVfv9j8JYqKhV4SB9mj6E/s1600/IMG_4271.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpeQR2G1eIjf_7zCX0O1KjeXpIcqbm79IP8-9uBmtG78lyNOFYzIFeR9w5BOkNbOxiY9jx0Ms9ceewG9ndxUDnC4pEPKVOS-blpLEL1icb8bcsB_Z5uYYYhbVfv9j8JYqKhV4SB9mj6E/s400/IMG_4271.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625313662224753298" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Amazingly, this pic does not do the amount of mud on my legs justice. So my sweet cousins and I have started taking full advangage. Every Tuesday afternoon is Tuesday Funday (aka Tuesday Tourist day). And there's even a jingle. "Tuesday, funday. It's better than a Monday."</div><div>Anyway, now that K & A are off of school, we have started our adventures.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Last week we went to the Rainbow Drive-In, a quintessential Waikiki Hawaiian fast food local.</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisPXj3YLKKTn4HehWYfWtvYSEtSPEtXU_fQJ2q2Jx-hEhlSgMfi-1AtFLlFRJ5AulGPNjn7HAUoEdDyu4Elhel6pvTyi7wPO4mf4i9xZISgxLGWtq-PEBUt96JlzHdm10pJEZA3Brj6rs/s1600/IMG_1406.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 313px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisPXj3YLKKTn4HehWYfWtvYSEtSPEtXU_fQJ2q2Jx-hEhlSgMfi-1AtFLlFRJ5AulGPNjn7HAUoEdDyu4Elhel6pvTyi7wPO4mf4i9xZISgxLGWtq-PEBUt96JlzHdm10pJEZA3Brj6rs/s400/IMG_1406.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616098921743814194" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">I partook in a quintessential Hawaiian fast food dish, the Loco Moco. Two fried eggs, over two hamburger patties smothered in gravy on a bed of rice, with a side serving of mayo covered macaroni salad. All in all, I would rank it as OK and will not be ordering it again. BUT - it's a Hawaiian experience and I experienced it.</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjHT1mYoUEFZJ8woNGXCkgaI7RvaN3xs0OdjX0sDIBFNQpE4mFaJrTsPTXLKx2XiSBiYqvtBh4cHljsWkE6SeGGTaMq-_1TLxTdQVZbsMVCnS6JpmHoEmG5l68cukNJQ3C9moqdOEsfjI/s1600/IMG_1401.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjHT1mYoUEFZJ8woNGXCkgaI7RvaN3xs0OdjX0sDIBFNQpE4mFaJrTsPTXLKx2XiSBiYqvtBh4cHljsWkE6SeGGTaMq-_1TLxTdQVZbsMVCnS6JpmHoEmG5l68cukNJQ3C9moqdOEsfjI/s400/IMG_1401.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616098913296642658" /></a><br /><div><div style="text-align: center;">This week we headed to the International Market Place in Waikiki, where all the tourists shop. We meandered through the stalls. The best shop by far was an art gallery that we stepped into with the work of Carl Little and Heather Brown. It was amazing. Seriously. Check them out.</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipmVfd6P4WdHRawA-vfO24V6v6vRftWMspT6e7wPHPx-xOwlBFlIBJqGLfeq8yxTbhU5-tWwfe7xIAAPsD8OPhi4d3pi68ULZVxu8snXMTYvytu0TFiPBnhXCprdw0ZE4D9OWuPYiVSQA/s1600/IMG_4136.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipmVfd6P4WdHRawA-vfO24V6v6vRftWMspT6e7wPHPx-xOwlBFlIBJqGLfeq8yxTbhU5-tWwfe7xIAAPsD8OPhi4d3pi68ULZVxu8snXMTYvytu0TFiPBnhXCprdw0ZE4D9OWuPYiVSQA/s400/IMG_4136.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616098901959059410" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQlVkVJMykjioUYHA1uDpNaZ1x92S6ldscBZIxBz82aRTPoFfHc6naPBcEhEYQhvdu01URpJ1_rpBmP1zNxdZiJXyUWdTCl1BNP5xl0_ZPkhxKjzZ009MQcpXLybEQY7CoAk86EVXxghY/s1600/IMG_4133.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQlVkVJMykjioUYHA1uDpNaZ1x92S6ldscBZIxBz82aRTPoFfHc6naPBcEhEYQhvdu01URpJ1_rpBmP1zNxdZiJXyUWdTCl1BNP5xl0_ZPkhxKjzZ009MQcpXLybEQY7CoAk86EVXxghY/s400/IMG_4133.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616098899294794034" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq4G8wxMKyzUI9Q0407_04qW4XFyes4_5BbQ6IfvUPdJnxzFBV_Th8oL65qFEMgF3BXuzhAHuETtB3oMU3_OjgM3XhMEHSOjVb3xD-YgLtunv895kLUKAXipwrpXrjLXa3Ib_iUCN4MGs/s1600/IMG_4131.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq4G8wxMKyzUI9Q0407_04qW4XFyes4_5BbQ6IfvUPdJnxzFBV_Th8oL65qFEMgF3BXuzhAHuETtB3oMU3_OjgM3XhMEHSOjVb3xD-YgLtunv895kLUKAXipwrpXrjLXa3Ib_iUCN4MGs/s400/IMG_4131.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616098888956829842" /></a><br /></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02482956847105051138noreply@blogger.com0
